Heh heh. It is a little strange to take a picture with my good camera of a picture I took with my phone. But I wanted to tell you about an idea I just came up with in the past fews days. Do you ever read a scripture and tell yourself, "I am going to have to think about that one some more," only to forget what that scripture was? I do that all the time. I always think I will remember, but I don't. And, I am not a note taker. Or a journal-er. Okay, I'm not terribly organized in general. I've started lots of journals and written lots of notes over the years, but I can never find the notebook I'm currently in and so I start a new one, only to lose that one, and on it goes. Taking a picture with my phone of the scripture I want to remember is such a simple little trick but makes for such a great place holder for the scripture I want to recall later. Also, this way I can text it to someone (usually that someone is my husband) if I want to show it to them at some point.
Anyway, I was texting this idea to my friend Kim earlier today, and I thought I'd write about it on here, just as a reminder to myself, you know. Goodness, how I need those little reminders. Actually, first she sent me a scripture, which is how the conversation started. She sent me Proverbs 8:17, a verse I had read a week or so ago, and it had stuck out to me, but I couldn't recall where it was later on, or exactly what it had said. Around the time I lost the verse was around the time that I came up with this idea. Something needed to be done- because I do that all the time- read a verse and then forget it. Too many other things to think about, I suppose. If you're as forgetful as me, then maybe this idea will help you. Anyway, if you're curious, Proverbs 8:17 says, "I love them that love me, and those that seek me early shall find me." The part that stood out to me was "I love them that love me," since that's kind of what I wrote in this post.
Well, that's all I have to say today, but maybe you will find it helpful!
